Is Kinetic Shockwave Cleaning Safe?
The kinetic shockwave is created using Det-cord, NOT dynamite. Det-cord is a flexible linear explosive with a core of PETN explosive encased in a textile outer jacket. The cord itself is inert and cap sensitive, which means the cord can only be detonated after a blasting cap has been attached.
Additional factors that make Kinetic Shockwave Cleaning safe:
- No Det-cord comes in direct contact with any plant equipment.
- Minimized exposure of personnel to airborne particulate.
- Other contractor work can be performed while the Det-cord curtains are installed inside the HRSG.

How KinetiClean™ Works
KinetiClean™ utilizes a 3-Step process which can be completed faster than any method currently on the market. HRSG size, number of tube bundles, and amount of fouling all factor into the overall length of a project.
STEP 1: Kinetic Shockwave via Det-Cord Curtain
Each curtain is engineered for every application based on HRSG size/design, amount of fouling and fin tube construction/age.
STEP 2: Automated High-Pressure, High-Volume Air System
Our patented oscillating air tool removes any remaining debris that is left on the fin tubes.
