Groome Industrial Service Group Acquires Taylor’s Industrial Coatings, Bringing AMPP-Accredited Coatings In-House Across Its Power Generation Services Platform
Florida-based Taylor’s Industrial Coatings joins Groome’s turnkey maintenance platform — enabling a single-contractor clean-to-coat handoff for HRSG and other critical structural assets at a moment when grid demands and data-center load are accelerating.
Denville, NJ – May 27, 2026 – Groome Industrial Service Group today announced the acquisition of Taylor’s Industrial Coatings (“Taylor’s”), a 50-year-old, AMPP QP1 / SSPC-accredited specialty coatings firm headquartered in Lake Wales, Florida. The transaction enhances Groome’s existing specialty coatings segment, creating a nationwide leader by bringing AMPP QP1 / SSPC credentials at the platform level, 90+ specialists, HRSG-specific technical coatings expertise, and a Southeast operating base.
The acquisition reflects Taylor’s strong alignment with Groome — Taylor’s adds a highly complementary and strategic customer base focused on natural gas–fired power generation, further expanding Groome’s reach across the power and utilities sector. In addition, Taylor’s serves a diversified set of industrial end markets, including mining, chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage, agriculture, government, and manufacturing, broadening Groome’s overall industrial footprint.
Scaling Coatings Across Groome’s National Footprint
Taylor’s Industrial Coatings is Groome’s most recent acquisition, advancing the company’s ability to deliver a comprehensive, turnkey specialty maintenance platform for customers operating critical natural gas infrastructure. The transaction enables Taylor’s to deploy their AMPP‑accredited coatings solutions with specialized HRSG capabilities across Groome’s longstanding national network of combined‑cycle (CCGT) and simple‑cycle (SCGT) gas turbine plants. Together, Taylor’s and Groome can provide customers with credentialed coatings solutions delivered by the same trusted on‑site teams that customers already rely on.

Taylor’s Industrial Coatings was founded in 1975 in Lake Wales, Florida and has primarily served power and utilities customers as well as mining, chemical, pulp and paper, food and beverage, agriculture, government, and manufacturing customers nationwide from its Southeast base for five decades. The 90+ person team holds AMPP QP1 / SSPC accreditation. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
