Team Leader Job Description

GROOME INDUSTRIAL SERVICE GROUP is a growing company in Fairfield NJ.  If you have any of the following experience, you may be a great fit!   Foreman, project management, mentor, communication, scaffolding, CDL, construction, maintenance, landscaping, welding or industrial painting experience. 

The Team Leader position requires the ability to guide a field crew effectively and perform a variety of trades and specialty skills.  These will include, but not be limited to welding, mechanical skills, power-washing, scaffolding, vacuuming, shoveling, blasting, grinding, industrial painting, general construction labor as in demolition and installation of steel structures and general building materials and training on the operation of equipment such as washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, aerial lifts, standard and reach fork trucks. 

The Team Leader must have the capability to complete mechanical tasks necessary to perform preventive maintenance and installation work, ability to interact with co-workers, follow work instructions and work independently, when needed.  Bi-lingual communication in Spanish/English is a plus. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb, stand, walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. 

Possible out of state work for indeterminate time, traveling by air or by car, hotel stay. 

Various hours may include nights and weekends.  Must be willing to be available 24/7. 

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to lift 25/50/80 pounds regularly
• The ability to respond quickly to sounds
• The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
• The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
• The ability to safely climb ladders EN
• The ability to work in extreme weather
• The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day 

 
Salary based on experience.  Medical benefits offered the first of the month after 60 days. 

Position subject to background and drug testing.
