BACKGROUND
Groome was called in to clean cranes for a long-time client. With extensive work experience across multiple maintenance service areas, the client was confident Groome would find the best solution.
OBJECTIVE
Cranes were shipped to the U.S. from overseas, and were greased at multiple points of production. These cranes needed extensive cleaning due to excess grease that now caused operational concern. The client turned to Groome because of the attention to detail provided during a past crane painting project.
SOLUTION
After an in-depth site walkthrough and meeting with the client, Groome provided a detailed specification on the project, including cleaning methods, cost and timeframe. When the proposal was accepted, Groome deployed a highly trained maintenance team during a holiday week to minimize the client’s downtime.
RESULTS
The grease was removed and the cranes were cleaned and back in operation before the end of the holiday week, meaning there was no disruption in regular business operations. All work with completed on time and on budget.
